Water and Cancer

Modern society makes use of many thousands of chemicals of which the National Cancer Institute maintains that approximately 1,000 are potentially carcinogenic. Water pollutants are believed to contain some danger to the individual, for example lead, arsenic, nickel and particularly cadmium appear to have a link with cancer. Flouride added to water in large amounts has increased the growth of tumours in laboratory animals and this itself is a possible cause of concern. It should also be mentioned that cancer patients on a sodium-free diet should avoid water to which sodium flouride has been added, as this is clearly another form of salt. It may be wise to consume bottled spring water when possible.
