Sugar and Cancer

Dr John Judkin, a foremost authority on the harmful action of sugar on the body maintains that excessive consumption of this food may well increase the likelihood of the development of malignant tumours. It is a concentrated form of starch which is excessively overused, lacks roughage and provides calories without any nutrients. Not only this but sugar depletes essential nutrients in the system including magnesium, zinc, chromium and many B vitamins. Most importantly, however, sugar has been shown to have a detrimental and devastating action upon the effectiveness of the immune system. It appears to interfere with the capacity of the white blood cells to overcome intrusive organisms, rendering the individual more susceptable to the onset of cancer. Also, as sugar is implicated in diseases of the circulatory system, it would seem wise to reduce this element to an absolute minimum, paying particular attention to the hidden foods in which it occurs.
