Drugs, X-rays and Cancer

Many common drugs can attribute towards cancer. Dr Roger Williams cites Reserpine (a drug used to cure high blood pressure) as being conceivably responsible for 5,000 cancer cases each year. Excessive use of X-rays has also been implicated. A commission on radiology in America indicated that X-ray treatments in the USA produce 3,000 deaths a year from various forms of cancer and genetic damage. What is more no-one knows for sure what the legacy of the present use of X-rays will be for future generations. Clearly it is important to avoid as many carcinogenic substances as possible, though due to the complexity of the modern technological age with the consequent pollution of air, food and water, this is not easy.
