Jason Winters was 46 years and living in North America when he developed cancer. He underwent cobalt radiation treatment and used vitamin E oil to assist the healing of the burns on his face. The doctors remarked how well his radiation burns were improving with the vitamin E treatment but told him not to tell anyone about it. This puzzled Jason but the truth was to dawn as time passed on. The next day the surgeon informed Jason that he was to perform radical neck surgery, removing tongue, jawbone and neck muscles, in an effort to arrest the spread of the disease. When the surgeon was asked whether this would lengthen his life, Jason was informed that it probably would not. On this note Jason left the surgery in pursuit of alternatives. He discovered the theraputic action of laetrile (vitamin B17) which is extracted from apricot kernals and believed to have specific anti-cancer action. Jason immediately bought six bottles of apricot kernels and consumed about 50 each day. His aches and pains stopped and the tumor appeared to be shrinking. When he returned to the health food store for more apricot kernels he was informed that the government authorities had removed them from the shelves. The explanation he received from the health food manager was that if laetrile (vitamin B17) was successful in treating cancer all those people involved in the cancer industry who make their living from the disease would suffer personal and financial hardship. Drug companies would millions of dollars annually. Doctors, surgeons and anaesthetists would loose a lucrative part of their living and clinics and hospitals would be starved of their life blood. In brief, Jason was forced to travel to mexico for his laetrile treatments, where he experienced also the rejuvenating value of pure natural foods and positive thought. Within 10 days his tumor had shrunk to half its normal size and he returned home with his laetrile tablets and presented for examination at his cancer clinic. Jason was anxious to see their response to his now almost completely disappeared tumor hoping for smiles and congratulations. Instead the doctor who had determined on radical surgery to the tongue and jawbone proclaimed that Jason could never have had cancer in the first place. The doctors were neither particulaly impressed nor particulaly enthusiastic about Jasons apparant regression. Horrified by their attitude Jason left as quickly as possible.
In spite of a relapse soon after, Jason was able to harness the forces of nature with other compounds, including laetrile, for a complete recovery from the disease.
